Waddell's IGA
The interior of the very first Waddell's Grocery in Russiaville started by William H. Waddell, standing in the center aisle. William H. Waddell had a grocery store in Russiaville from 1898-1917 first started his grocery store on the southwest corner of Union and Main Streets in 1898. The original caption reads: "MEMORY LANE-Waddell's general store with "Uncle Billy" (William) Waddell, (grandfather of Glenn Waddell), standing in aisle; Frank Waddell, Glenn's uncle on the right, and Waldo, his brother on the left. Dinnerware was a popular item and can be seen on the left lower shelf. Cluster of scissors are displayed on the left above and large cartons of Jell-O are stacked above showcases at right foreground."
