Passionate Paulette

Passionate Paulette, the famous B-25 bomber is back in her Catch-22 makeup. The 1944 medium bomber, the same type that conducted the legendary Doolittle Raid never actually saw any combat during WWII but starred, along with seventeen other B-25s in the 1970 dark comedy Catch -22. Paulette did a nude scene in the movie but when the airplane was flown to Grissom for exhibit in 1972 somebody had dressed her in somewhat less suggestive pink underwear. Concerns about Midwest sensitivities prodded the Museum Board to paint the nose are out a few years ago. Last winter the Board decided to give the starlet her place on the walk of fame and she's back in almost her full monty. On display at Grissom Air Museum on Aug. 23, 2017.
