Greentown Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a fully engulfed house fire shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday Nov. 5, 2022. The house owned by Oren Zook at 798 North 780 West showed the most outward damage to the rear but fueled by high winds was a total loss. One firefighter suffered minor burns to the arm. Greentown was assisted by Taylor Twp., EMA, Converse, Amboy and Wildcat Creek volunteer fire departments.
